Chiropractic FAQs

  • All major private health funds offer cover for chiropractic services - usually on their 'extras' table.

    Annual limits do apply and the amount you will reimbursed will vary depending on which fund you are with and what level of cover you have. We recommend you contact your own fund to find out the exact details in your case. We have eftpos facilities on site. You will be able to send your receipt through to your health fund and be reimbursed directly to your bank account.

  • If you are referred by your general practitioner under the Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) plan then you are able to claim a portion of your fees from Medicare (up to a maximum of 5 visits per year). There will be a gap that will be need to be paid at the time of the appointment.

    You will need to talk to your GP about the appropriate referral.

    This may include:

    • Spinal pain in the neck, middle back, and lumbar spine;

    • Headaches and migraines;

    • Sciatica, disc conditions, and nerve pain;

    • Pregnancy-related back pain;

    • Whiplash;

    • Sports injuries;

    • Vertigo and dizziness;

    • Muscle spasms and stiffness;

    • Arthritis and other degenerative conditions.

    We utilise Medipass software that allows us to process your EPC immediately on site. A gap payment will then need to be made via eftpos

  • Research is not owned and is not specific by an individual profession. The same research used to validate and guide the assessment, diagnosis and treatment plans of a GP, physiotherapist and medical specialist is the same research used by chiropractors.

    Chiropractic is a small profession (8000 in Australia) in comparison to physiotherapy (20,000 in Australia). There is very little research published by chiropractors but that does not mean that Chiropractors do not uses research to make evidence-based decisions.

  • Your safety is our utmost priority. If you are in pain, we understand that you will be keen to start treatment. But it is most important that we make an accurate diagnosis first, so that we know exactly what's causing your problem.

    If a X-ray or MRI scan, or blood tests are clinically indicated to ensure that treatment can be applied safely then we will make all efforts to ensure that these can be obtained ASAP so that you can receive treatment and pain relief as soon as it is safe to do so.

    Our chiropractors are very experienced and will do everything they can to help you as quickly as possible.

  • Diagnostic imaging such as Ultrasound, X-rays, CT and MRI will only be acquired if clinically indicated.

    The cost of X-rays is largely covered by Medicare (Australian residents only), with only a small out-of-pocket expense.

    Ultrasound, MRI and C/T scans are not claimable under Medicare when referred from Chiropractor. We can refer directly however these will incur full out of pocket fees directly from the imaging provider.

    We refer to several quality radiology services who offer competitive pricing for full fee imaging.

    Depending on the imaging required (Xray, MRI, Ultrasound and C/T)- chiropractors will write a referral letter to your medical specialist and general practitioners who will be able to refer under Medicare.

    We utilise a network of medical professionals who we recognise as industry leading in the Brisbane area. We are happy to refer you to these specialists to ensure you are getting the best medical expertise available.
